The Albany marathon group heads into WEEK 8 of our Albany Marathon training, and the long run this weekend for the marathon group is 17 miles. We’re using the Hal Higdon Intermediate II plan. The half marathon group training for the January Red Nose Half Marathon should hit 11 miles this weekend. Our beginner group should be aiming for 4-6 miles on Saturday morning.
We have a shortened group run week due to Christmas, but we’ll start back up again next week. It might be difficult to get your runs in… don’t stress out. Enjoy the holidays.
Here are this week’s group runs:
Tuesday morning: Riverwalk, 7:15 am, meet at Country’s on Broadway: This is an easy 4-8 mile run.
Wednesday: Cooper Creek, 6:30 pm, meet at the start of the Fitness Trail. 2.5 – 8 miles, everything from run/walk to easy run to intervals. If you’d like personal attention or need help with your running form, breathing, or anything else, please try to come to this group run.
Thursday: Nothing scheduled.
Saturday: Nothing scheduled, please run on your own and do the miles according to your planned workout.
